
When I awoke this morning it was the first thing that came to mind. From the bed I could hear it clearly, the silence of snow. It is as if a giant and thick sound absorbing blanket was draped over everything.
They predicted a decent amount of snow overnight, but as we went to bed it was still falling lightly. Let's face it, they still get it wrong a lot.
Luigi is quite non-plussed by the entire thing. He drug us around the neighborhood this morning all perky and upbeat, while we struggled to maintain our footing.
I'm normally not the type of guy that gets all excited about flying off to a warm island and lying on a beach for a couple of days... until now.
This morning was spent mostly rebuilding our home network to support eight computers. Yes, eight. This for a house with two men in their forties and one three year old terrier.

It is a wonder we haven't killed each other yet, both working at home for most of a year now. The late arriving winter weather hasn't made anything easier.
But progress is being made... steadily.
Yesterday's mail included a request to "write" our citizenship tests in a couple of weeks. I wonder what happens if you don't pass initially. Do they put you in special ed for "slow" citizens?
We were expecting the wait would be longer, more like eight months rather than the four it turned out to be. Both of us must have blemish free records and documentation. We should have with all the fees and paperwork over the years.
Soon enough dual citizenship will be upon us. What that really means is that we now must file tax returns in two countries. Whoopee.
