When I said.
A rose is a rose is a rose is a rose.
And then later made that into a ring I made poetry and what did I do I caressed completely caressed and addressed a noun. (Lectures in America)
We have reached the end of the first half of the year, and I appreciate the sheer symmetry of this event if nothing else. Tomorrow will start the second half of the year and I intend to use it to bitch slap myself as a reality check. So, lets compose a list of action items for the rest of the year.
- Get back into decent shape. Nothing says rapidly aging computer geek more than my spindly body right now. I look like a freaking marshmallow on stilts.
- Focus on my creativity. With a new camera and enough computers to start a call center I need to channel my energies into more productive activities. Watching British sitcoms from the 70's is not going to get me any closer to being on the masthead of The New Yorker.
- Revisit my career, or what is left of it. If my career was an actual human being, it would be another dysfunctional character on "Six Feet Under".
- Refurbish our home. The kitchen for instance---where I like to think I provide a valuable service--- is in dire need of some reorganization, if not an extreme makeover from one of those TV shows.
- Clean up, back up and archive. (Hard drives... that is.)
- Reconnect with friends and family. Since moving to Canada, I have lazily drifted away, neglecting to stay in touch and it isn't good.
Well... time to get my ass in gear, eh?

I seem to be able to find orange and purple everywhere. They are even the "brand" colors of the company I am working for... and considering I haven't changed this blog's template to anything other than this pretty lame orange framed layout; it might say something about me other than simple laziness.
An early birthday present is just what I needed now. It has been a year or so of quiet desperation at times; frustrated by a feeling of haplessness and confusion.
Why am I in a cul-de-sac instead of moving forward?
In any case I have a wonderful new camera now... and here are a couple of shots from it. Mark snapped this of me...

Last weekend we let Luigi and his friend Winnie tear around the nearby park so I could test the camera for speed and focus on a moving target--- or more accurately, targets.

And so it passed with flying colors. Now I hope it can help move me forward...

She was ready to go home. Please just lock the door and roll up the window. Oh... it doesn't work now. But yet it did this morning...
Oh Oh. Who has $800 dollars please?

What do a vague grouping of DVDs on a bookshelf say about two people? Well, let's examine this.
When you look at this shot you can observe "Office Space" resting only a few disks away from "Best In Show" with "Singin' in the Rain" and "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" slightly further on past the copy of "The Ice Storm".
Your takeaway from this might be; high tech cubicle dwellers at work and dog lovers at home with a dark sense of humor.... or not of course.

Time to snip off the over growth... shrubs, trees and even little white dogs.
