Weekend Nap
Sure they can nap, but not me. And please notice the ubiquitous Ipod attached to those ear buds, which I think might be best if it was surgically implanted at this point.

Carpal Tunneled
Yesterday started quite normally. I had noticed tingling in my wrists at the end of last week and didn't spend that much time in front of a computer over the weekend. But big spreadsheets and email conspired against me at the start of this week, and something snapped.
After a morning meeting I tried to make some notes and I couldn't control the pen in my hands. A few minutes later my hands were twitching, and my wrists were burning and tingling.
Lots of people have wait to see their Doctors, but quite surprisingly I managed to get an appointment in the afternoon, so at 2:45 she was describing the surgery that might be needed in six months or so.
Ten plus years of pretty heavy computer use has probably given my permanent nerve damage. My new prescription for custom made splints is at home on my desk, and my first appointment with the neurologist is May 5th.
My own habits over the past year have probably made this worse. I have a proper office, desk and Aeron chair (Thank you Nortel) at home, but I have been setting up shop on the dining room table almost every night and spending more and more time working there instead of my office. So much for that now...
Time to shop for a bigger desk!
