It has been too long a time between entries here at my lame half assed blog. But over in the next room, thatmark is busy almost every morning posting a daily journal. Yeah, but where was he in 1994 when I was doing that! We just celebrated our five year anniversary together. I am officially a boring, married, suburban lesbian now.
The great life simplification process continues with some electronic cleanup. My DSL connection has been sputtering after the line was found dead coming home from work one night. Bell called the next day to inform me that it had been "fixed", but the speed of the DSL connection became wildly unpredictable. So, time to shit can the extra phone line, the DSL connection and the dial up email account. Put it all on cable!
It only took two technicians to do the installation yesterday. The first guy took one look at our offices and knew he was in a geek bungalow; six computers, two LANs, two DSL lines and a laptop on the living room sofa just to ice the cake. But the fist modem, which look like it was thrown out of a car window at a high speed refused to sync after an hour of trying. So I called right away, and after scheduling another visit for tomorrow, I got a call asking if a tech could come right over. He was in the neighborhood, and pulled a new modem out of a box, and within a few minutes we were good to go.
